El robot, que ha sido destruido por una gran tormenta de polvo, llevaba 15 años estudiando la superficie del planeta rojo.
Discover liquid and salt water on Mars for the first time NASA finds organic molecules in Mars rocks of 3,000 million years.NASA has completed the mission of rover Opportunity on Mars on Wednesday after 15 years exploring the surface of the red planet. "For missions like this will come the day when astronauts can walk on Mars," said Jim Bridenstine, administrator of NASA.
The US agency has decided to end the mission after more than a thousand attempts to contact the robot, which was silenced due to lack of power on June 10 due to a sandstorm.
The exploration vehicle, powered by solar energy, was affected by the drastic reduction of the Sun's radiation by the suspended dust, limiting the capacity of its solar panels to charge the batteries that gave it the ability to move and to operate its Scientific instruments.
Text commentary:
This news does not contribute much to people like us but the workers of NASA have been hurt that this robot has died because that robot was providing information that for a future could not help in anything. In this information is not something that is very important for everyone and as more robots make them die one does not pass anything
